He has no choice but to look after his three year old son Nate, since the mother, Cindy (Lynn Collings) is an alcoholic. But one snowy day, Ethan take his son out to play in the snow and looks away for only a couple of minuttes, and that moment of thoughtlessness results in a tragedy.
